Koichiro Nakamura is an expert of the photonics technologies for imaging and sensing applications. He is currently leading the R&D activities of such technologies for various industries such as automobile, factory robot, and UAV.

In this session, the speaker is going to introduce and dicuss the cutting-edge imaging and sensing technologies for autonomous operation of the UAVs of the next generation. The technologies discussed in this session include the 3D imaging, spherical imaging, and multi-modal imaging. These technologies are also essential for sensing/monitoring applications by using UAVs.
